I've been training with Icon around 3 weeks and i feel like I've found a second home (seriously.... I pretty much live there now). I was so nervous to start, especially as a woman, with no combat experience, in a male dominated environment; but the team and coaches are amazing, everyone is so encouraging, supportive and patient and it's just an awesome environment to stretch myself physically (both literally & figuratively) and mentally. Thanks Steve and all the guys and gals at Icon, you're an awesome bunch

MMA A Way Of Life

Mixed martial art is not a new sport, it has been around for hundreds of years and has developed over time. After going through intense criticism and research, it is now said to be the safest contact sport in the world. Yes, it has kicking and punching in it, but the people who have been practicing for it have to follow specific rules. Along with it, their body conditioning is a lot more than someone who is just a street fighter. So how does MMA proved itself to be the way of life for some people?

Cardiovascular conditioning:

First off when someone is involved with any form of MMA, they are going to be conditioning their body, muscles and their cardiac system. Many athletes and even people who like to stay fit practice exercises that help in the cardiovascular conditioning. When these exercises become part of their routine, then without them people feel dull and not very much at peace. Just like that MMA fighter makes mixed martial arts a part of their daily lives and it is not only helping them learn and evolve but also keeping them healthy.

Strengthened core:

The breathing exercises, kicking and all other exercises that comprise MMA help the core strengthening of the fighter. Yes, of course, it takes a little time for them, but ultimately they reap the results of strength and power. Specific techniques in different forms of mixed martial arts are the ones that require you to use particular core muscles which are strengthened in the process. If you want to learn these exercises, we suggest you take a tour of martial arts Norwich center, so that you can get more clarified about how it works.

Concentration and focus:

Every strike, every move in the martial arts require focus and also concentration if you lack these very important factors than what you are doing is nothing more than a terrible fight which will not help you get strong or better in any way. But the focus that you learn through martial arts promotes the discipline in your personality that you wouldn’t want to miss on. The requirement for you to make sure that you follow the rules and keep it professional is something that will require your concentration and focus.

Stress reliever:
Martial arts indeed is a form of art that can help you blow off the steam that you are holding inside you. This sport enables you to get rid of the negative feelings bubbling inside you in a very safe environment making sure that no one including you is in any kind of danger. This sport makes a safer place for you and others.

Once you have understood these significant four ways that MMA is incorporated into the lives, you will know that how it becomes a way of the lives of people who are involved in this sport.
Now that you know how MMA has become a way of life maybe you will be the next one to train for it and visit martial arts, Norwich?
