I've been training with Icon around 3 weeks and i feel like I've found a second home (seriously.... I pretty much live there now). I was so nervous to start, especially as a woman, with no combat experience, in a male dominated environment; but the team and coaches are amazing, everyone is so encouraging, supportive and patient and it's just an awesome environment to stretch myself physically (both literally & figuratively) and mentally. A gym is a place where health enthusiasts tune their body muscles to stay fit. Mixed martial arts are a legitimate sport that mixes various fighting skills. With the advent of media in publicizing the sports many people have become ardent followers of the combat pictures.
